While the likes of Stanlib were busy dowsizing and restructuring their long list of offered unit trusts funds, Momentum was no where to be seen doing the same , and after its merger with Metropolitan , the funds now are over 40 in total and expanding.
In the years in review , our records shows the manco introduce the following funds:
- Momentum Corporate Money Market Fund
- Momentum FutureTrends Fund
- Momentum Quality Equity Fund
- Momentum Thematic Growth Equity Fund
It ceased two unit trusts namely, Momentum Defensive Growth Fund and Momentum Mid & Small Index Fund.
With ASISA dida great work of reducing subsectors under Worldwide supersector and rearraging to be accomodated into Global supersector , mancos followed suite as you will see more unit trusts with Global middle name in it than with Worldwide middle name. Here are Momentum changes we pick up to conformed to this rearragement:
- Momentum International Balanced Feeder Fund -> Momentum Global Managed Feeder Fund
- Momentum International Conservative Feeder Fund -> Momentum Global Cautious Feeder Fund
- Momentum International Equity Feeder Fund -> Momentum Global Growth Feeder Fund
Outside foreign investing funds , Momentum Property Fund was renamed Momentum Real Growth Property Fund.Also, I have been informally searching what had happened to an large cap equity fund Momentum Top 25 Fund for many years and suprisingly, the fund had been handed over to Aluwani for management , it is called nowadays Aluwani Top 25 Fund.
