Global brewer Heineken’s acquisition of South African drinks group Distell, completed on 26 April 2023, was a big deal for the African beverages market. It was an important step towards Heineken strengthening its presence in the region, while for Distell it provides a much larger regional platform for the distribution of its products.

In 2017 , Lion of Africa existed the unit trust operations to concentrate on assurance business, it operated 2 unit trusts LoA Equity Fund and loA Real Return Fund.Ninety One overall assets under management are hovering around 3 trillion , that's almost the entire size of out unit trusts industry.Total assets under management (AUM) has breached the R3 trillion mark in 2022. |
